GOCEK ISLAND
Göcek Island, which is right across Göcek in the Gulf of Fethiye, acts as a natural protection shield. Göcek Island, which took its name from Göcek, protects it from the winds coming from the monkish and qibla directions. Göcek Island, which has many safe beaches and coves on which to take a break, is a favorite stop on the daily Fethiye 12 Islands Boat Tour, Fethiye Private Boat Tour and Fethiye Blue Cruise Boat Tour routes. The most visited bays of Göcek Island are Batı Bay in the west and İncirli Bay in the east. Commercial activities on Göcek Island are in İncirli Bay. Göcek Island is waiting for you to cool the hot Fethiye days with all its beauty.
YASSICALAR (YASSICA ISLANDS)
Yassıca Islands, which offers the most anchoring and accommodation opportunities for boats among Göcek bays, and where there are many eating and drinking alternatives, is an archipelago consisting of 12 islands, 5 kilometers from Göcek, and which has become the symbol of Fethiye Bay.
There are also areas where you can set up your tent and stay on the islands, which are home to Göcek bays, where children and non-swimmers can be comfortable thanks to their shallow waters. The Yassıca Islands, which are a frequent destination for blue cruises and daily boat tours, have gained world fame with their natural beauties. The most famous of the islands is Kaşık Island. The name of the island is the natural pool that forms at its tip and has the appearance of a spoon. Surrounded by olive and pine trees, this pond was formed by natural means and attracts thousands of local and foreign tourists every year.
BEDRI RAHMI BAY
Bedri Rahmi Bay, whose real name is Taşyaka, has become the most famous of Göcek bays in recent years. Besides the king tombs on the hills, the fish painting made by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu on the rock on the shore is what made the sheep so famous. Painter and poet Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, who was the pioneer of the Göcek bays blue cruise tours in 1974, drew the famous fish painting depicting 6 animals on a rock right next to the sea, during his trip to this bay. Taşyaka Bay is named Bedri Rahmi Bay, thanks to the fish painting that has become a symbol of sheep over time.
The Ancient Lycian King Tombs, which are covered with pine trees and located on lush, steep slopes, have made Bedri Rahmi Bay famous among the Gocek bays. “How did these Lycians build these tombs here?”, “How did they bury these people here?” You can reach the king tombs, which will make you say, by walking on steep paths, and you can easily see them from the sea.
Another beauty of Bedri Rahmi Bay is the fresh water spring on it. The biggest reason why blue cruise yachts choose this place to stay is this water source. A hose was connected to the fresh water supply, allowing the boats to fill the water tanks. Most boats dock at the small wooden harbor in the bay and spend the night here. Apart from that, daily tour boats also prefer Bedri Rahmi Bay for a swimming break.
BATH BAY (KLEOPATRA)
The bay, where the remains of the baths built in the Ancient Lycian Period are located, is the place where daily boat tours and blue cruise yachts stop most frequently among Göcek bays. In addition to the ruins of a bath, there are also the remains of a Byzantine Monastery in the bay. According to a rumor, the bath, which is said to have been built as a "sea bath" by the king of the city above, has nothing to do with Cleoptra. It was named Cleopatra Bay just because of its beauty.
Pine and olive trees, which form the unique nature of Göcek bays, are also found in Cleopatra Bay. The shores of the bay, which can only be reached by boats, are quite deep. Therefore, it is dangerous for children and non-swimmers to go out to the ruins of the baths.
